Just as an electric light comes on whenever you flip the switch, by following a business criterion that works, you can achieve success in your own business. For example, if you want to build a bird house you would follow a blue print (building instructions) and regardless of how long it took, if you stayed with the project – you ultimately would build your bird house. The same is true of you building a successful online business. You simply find a business blue print that you can follow, and you can start a business that you can develop it into a profitable enterprise.

The fact that you are reading this shows that you have what it takes to have your own business. If you look around and think about it, you will quickly discover that there are a lot more employees than there are entrepreneurs. Consider that our economy and that of most western countries depends heavily on entrepreneurship and the ability of people –just like you- to start a business and make money. If it weren’t for a continual fresh flux of entrepreneurs into our economy, it would be in worst shape than it now is and ultimately would suffer a devastating blow. As an entrepreneur, you are going to be among those who help save and turn around our economy.

You can start your own business and maximize your probability of success as by reading over the following six success factors that will help you make money online. So without further ado, here are your six success factors:

Step #1

Focus Your Vision: To illustrate how you accomplish this, imagine that you are seated comfortably in your favorite chair. You have a desire to start a particular type of business. This desire has been in your mind for some time and has grown so strong that you desire to start your business today. You are all excited about it and you really just want to get started. But the question looming in your mind is how do you get started, how do you intend to get there, and where do you want to go with this business? Realize that each one of your questions is a natural mind stimulation process at helping you to focus your vision. This is good, but don’t strain at this point in trying to come up with all the answers.

What you should do in step one, instead, is merely spend some quite time seeing your business dream as a reality. With a little practice, this will get much easier. You’ll soon realize that by setting aside some quite time every day to communicate that vision to yourself is a powerful success principle that works to bring into reality the very business you are seeing. If you doubt the power of vision, consider the founders of this country and other visionaries who have gone before us.

Developing and having a success vision is not all that is necessary to starting a successful business as you will soon discover, but it is part of the process. There are yet five more steps to go. Nevertheless, this is your first step in the process of how you can start your business. And by focusing your vision here, in step one, you can keep yourself motivated to succeed when the going gets rough and old man doubt tries to slip in and discourage you. Having a clearly defined or focused vision will also motivate others to believe in you. When you start your business, your vision can work magic in getting the backing of bank managers, your family and friends, suppliers, and customers.

Step #2

Focus Your Purpose And Direction: To successfully focus your purpose and direction is to have a clear understanding of why your business needs to exist, where you want to take it, which direction you plan to take to get it there, and how you are going to go about accomplishing all this. Without this, you can look forward to the possibility failure.

Step #3

Focus Your Goals and Objectives: Take a stroll down memory lane for a moment and think back to when you were in school. What is the one of the first things you would do before taking a written exam. You would sharpen your pencil. This is a good analogy of achieving success in your business because that is exactly what your first step here should be, to sharpen your goals and objectives; So how do you go about doing this?

For starters, lets get busy and start sharpening your focus on your goals and objectives, so you will know exactly what your goal is and what it is that you really want to do when you start your own business. You accomplish this by defining and writing down each one of your goal(s) and how you are going to achieve that goal by defining your objectives. This process helps make your goal more real. And that is what you are striving for. You want your business to become a reality, right!

But before you actually start writing, take just a moment and purpose beforehand that you are going to write down your objectives so clearly that when you refer back to them later, you will instantly have a clear explanation of your objectives. As you write, make each statement of each objective measurable, achievable, realistic, and time oriented, so that you can gauge your achievements at any point in time to know whether you are making progress.

Step #4

Focus Action Plan To Start Your Business: Well, there you have it, everything that you need to develop a clear and precise action plan about what you need to start a business and be successful. As a reminder, for each objective there may be additional steps that present themselves along the way, so be sure to add these to your list. Now that you know the direction you wish to take and what it is you need to do each step of the way, you have to put your plan into action. You can start a business and achieve success when you take persistent action on these steps.

Step #5

Focus On Taking Action: In addition to the above, there are yet two more steps covered here in step five and following, in step six. By implementing these two remaining steps, five and six, you can take persistent action and achieve continuing success in your business. For an understanding of step five, if you drive, imagine that you are on a trip in your car. If you don’t drive, imagine ridding with someone in their car. Now back to the illustration. You are driving along and suddenly the road ends. You stop for a moment and consider that you mapped out the trip before you departed and the map did not show the road ended. You are a little upset, maybe even angry. What do you do? Do you turn around and go back or do you take a detour and continue the trip to your planned destination?

That’s an easy question! Of course you take the detour and continue to your planned destination. The same criterion is necessary when you are starting an online business or starting a home business. Because, no matter how good your written plan, there will be times along the way to reaching your goal(s) that you will need to revise your plans in order to reach your planned destination. Just like the dead end road example, given above, there will be times when stumbling blocks will encroach and impede your progress. But regardless, don’t ever change your goal to start and make your business a success; Instead, go after it with a flexibility that allows you to deviate from your plan and take a detour if this is necessary to reach your goal(s).

You will need to periodically check your progress to see if your plan needs revision. A business plan, just like a map, can change because of circumstances. If you have employees, you can talk to them and to anyone else, a bank manager, customers, suppliers, accountants, who has a direct relationship in one way or another with your business. And act on the answers if you feel they will help your business.

Step #6

Focus Your Resolve: This is step six… your final step to success? Although thousands of people start their own business every day, the unfortunate news is that only a few of them will actually succeed. The fact is, when it comes to success in a business there is no final step. It’s an ongoing process. Even if you follow all the steps outlined above, you will limit your chance of success and invite failure, unless you take action and to do the following.

When you start your business, make a firm decision at the outset that you are going to stay focused and that you are going to continually nourish your resolve to not only start your business but also to take all additional and necessary steps to make it a success.
