There is some basic home office equipment that you should have to make finding a work at home job much easier. Keep in mind that not every job will require that you have all of these things, but if you have them they will afford you a better chance of finding a job. Here is the equipment list:

1. Computer – This is one piece of equipment that you absolutely must have. Windows operating systems are the best with Windows XP or windows seven being the preferred operating system.

3. Another reason for high speed connection is that some jobs require unlimited long distance. If you have a dial up internet connection, you would either have to have two phone lines or close your internet connection each time you made a call.

4. Printer – Some jobs require a printer, but it may not be a necessity. If you don’t have a printer and have to print out something, what you can do is save it as a pdf document, upload it to your yahoo or other email account, or either to your hosting or to a free hosting service, go to your local office supply or local library and use their computer to pull it up and then print it out.

5. Word processing program – Certain jobs will require information be sent using certain programs. You probably already have a word processor on your computer, but if not, you can download open office. It’s free and can be used to convert your documents into pdf format.

These five things are the basics you should have. Some jobs may require other special equipment; But if so, they usually will make it clear before hiring.
